Born in Córdoba in 1967, Fernando Aguayo began his career as an artist at his forties in a brilliant way, since in that brief period of time he has presented his works in galleries from all over the world like Donosti, Madrid, La Provenze (France), London and Abu Dhabi, among others.
In 2014 was selected to integrate the catalogue of Shenzen Watercolour Biennial (China)
Joan Aguiló is a famous artist that began his career painting graffiti on the streets of Palma.
At the begining, the cleaning brigade of the Council made big efforts to clean that graffiti, however, as the time pass they realized that those were not usual graffiti but authentic pieces of art.
Nowadays some spots of the city are decorated with the mural paintings of Joan, one of them is our last renovation located on C/Hostal d'en Bauló.
I've always said that a property is alive, when I go to visit one property for the first time it talks to me in some way, specially if it is an old building with centuries of history.
I think that a piece of art needs to talk to, and needs to have a history behind to make sense, the art is very boring if only means decoration, to be full, a piece of art needs to hide something more.
The happy girl, talks about the history of Jose, the squatter of the Street, that has been living ilegaly from one house to the other for 8 years, he earned his life making soap bubbles for the kids on Passeig des Born.
On our mural we want to give homage to him simbolizing a kid (Jose) that is making bubbles and a nice girl who represents one of the new owners of the renovated building, who is enjoying of that game.
Joan Aguiló:
We cooperate hand by hand with some famous artists that can help you to create a magic atmosphere at your home.
